Many people think that spiritual maturity equates to a lot of knowledge. But knowledge alone does not make one mature.
Biblical spiritual maturity is:
- Relationship with God = Loving Jesus
- Transformation by God = Becoming like Jesus
- Mission of God = Sharing Jesus
This is our Mission as believers and as a church: “Loving Jesus, becoming like Jesus, sharing Jesus.”
To be mature you must be in vibrant relationship with Jesus, submitted and obedient to being transformed to become more like him, and putting this obedience into action by using your life to serve Jesus’ mission to our world. Are you mature?
Whether you’re a seeker, believer, follower, or leader, Westside provides a Next Step for you to grow!

I'M A SEEKER . . .
I want to learn more about God and ask questions about what it means to have an authentic relationship with Jesus.
What are my NEXT STEPS?
- Faithfully attending Westside church services weekly
- Completing the Get Grounded seeker LifeStudy
- Accepting Jesus as my Lord and being baptized
I'M A BELIEVER . . .
I have committed to following Jesus as my Lord and faithfully attending weekly worship at Westside. I’m ready to commit to membership and intentional training to grow in my faith.
What are my NEXT STEPS?
- Complete WFC's GET CONNECTED membership event
- Complete the GET CHARGED LifeStudy
- Participate in a LifeGroup or LifeStudy (after completing 2 core LifeStudies above)
I'M A FOLLOWER . . .
I am living for Jesus, am a committed member of Westside, and have completed the core GET CHARGED LifeStudy. I am ready to commit to generously sharing my time, talent, and treasure to serve others.
What are my NEXT STEPS?
- Giving generously, proportionally, sacrificially
- Inviting people and participating in Westside community impact
- Participating in Westside global impact
I'M A LEADER . . .
I am leading others to Jesus as a servant leader and reproducing other Christ-followers by sharing Jesus’ mission in the world.
What are my NEXT STEPS?
- Demonstrating Christ-like character daily
- Personally sharing Jesus with others
- Equipping others to lead
